Dr. Fahs provides comprehensive, personalized care without the demands and restrictions placed by insurance companies. This allows for her sole focus to be on you, the patient, and your unique dermatological needs.
Many patients experience barriers to quality healthcare imposed by health insurance plans, who actually value money over health and well-being. Dr. Fahs believes that every patient has the right to make their own healthcare decisions. We put the power of your healthcare back into your hands by utilizing a direct care model.

So what IS direct care?
The direct care model is an insurance-free, patient-centric approach that allows for upfront, transparent, reasonable pricing along with exceptional convenience and accessibility to quality care. Price transparency is essential and a top priority in the direct care model. Unlike insurance-based healthcare models, our fees are known PRIOR to treatment.
There are no copays, no surprise bills, no arguing with your insurance company. In this model, Dr. Fahs does not work for insurance companies or the government--she works for her patients. Whether you have a high-deductible insurance plan, costly specialist co-pays, or no insurance at all, Dr. Fahs can evaluate your concerns and recommend the best treatments based on her expertise as a board-certified dermatologist—without the limitations of insurance company rules.

Transparent Pricing:Clear, upfront costs with no surprise bills later. | Unpredictable Costs:Hidden fees and surprise bills weeks after your visit. |
Direct Access to Your Dermatologist:Communicate directly with your dermatologist for questions and follow-ups. | Limited Access:Communication often filtered through layers of staff or portals. |
Convenient In-House Services:Prescriptions and skincare products available on-site for a one-stop solution. | Multiple Trips Needed:Separate trips to pharmacies or stores for prescriptions and skincare products. |
Curated Skincare Recommendations:Access to a dermatologist-approved skincare boutique. | Generic Skincare Advice:Limited or no access to curated product options. |
No Insurance Hassles:No need to navigate complex insurance networks or claim denials. | Insurance Red Tape:Delays, prior authorizations, and restricted options based on insurance coverage. |
Focused on You:Your care is prioritized, not dictated by insurance company requirements. | Insurance-Driven Care:Decisions often influenced by insurance policies, not patient needs. |
Streamlined Experience:Easy scheduling and fast check-in without the administrative burden of insurance paperwork. | Lengthy Processes:Complicated forms, authorizations, and delays in getting care. |
Clear Value:High-quality, patient-focused care designed to improve your skin health and overall experience. | Uncertain Value:Care that may feel impersonal and geared toward volume over quality. |

Why Should I Be Seen at an Office That Doesn't Take My Insurance?
The benefits of utilizing a direct-care practice are numerous:
- convenience
- accessibility
- price-transparency
- low wait-times
- convenient scheduling
- adequate face-to-face time with the doctor
The direct pay model is ideal for any patient who needs or wants to be seen quickly and desires a more personalized approach to their care.
If your insurance plan includes high specialist co-pays, high deductibles, or restrictions on where you can seek care, the direct pay route is almost always more convenient and typically has significantly lower out-of-pocket expenses than utilizing your insurance.
